No. Once you've opened the tool in your browser, the full phrase library is available offline. The AI Suggest feature requires an internet connection and your own Anthropic API key (free to set up), but all other features work without connectivity — ideal for on-site use.
Yes. Custom phrases, edits, and favourites are stored in your browser's local storage and persist between sessions on the same device and browser. For firm licences, we recommend designating one standard device per surveyor for consistent access to customisations.

You type a plain English description of what you found on site — for example, "significant moss on clay tiles, ridge slipping, possible nail sickness" — and the AI analyses the full phrase library and returns the 4–6 most relevant phrase codes for your observation. Click a code chip to jump straight to that phrase. It uses the Claude AI model and requires your own Anthropic API key (free tier available at console.anthropic.com).
